The Origin
Built on a solemn promise to nurture the next generation of Muslim leaders.
In early 2026, the birth of my daughter changed everything. What should have been a moment of pure celebration instantly instantly collapsed into a state of absolute vulnerability and deep isolation. She had contracted a severe infection and was not breathing upon delivery. Her fate rested entirely in the hands of the medical team and, ultimately, at God’s mercy.
Seeing my daughter in the NICU for the first time, relying completely on a ventilator for breathing, was a deeply harrowing experience. Between tending to my wife and visiting the NICU, the small Masjid on the hospital grounds became my solace. I spent hours there – isolated, praying, and making dua. It was in that quiet space that I made a solemn promise to Allah: if He cured and protected my daughter, I would do everything in my power to ensure she grew up to be a leader among the Muslims.
Alhamdulillah, my daughter made a full recovery. But my vow remained. Dads of Deen was built directly out of that profound loneliness and that unshakeable promise to nurture the next generation of leaders.
Dads of Deen is the realisation of that promise.
To honour it, we have mapped out a journey built upon six core principles – guiding Muslim fathers from the initial transition of leadership down to the lasting legacy we leave behind. These principles serve as our unshakeable standard.
